Fried green tomato is a great recipe. We got some great tomatillos/ green tomatos at the farmers market today and just made it!

why won't they have time to ripen? are you afraid of rain?

I would leave them for another 2-3 weeks, and they should ripen. My babusya always does that, and we have a nice fresh tomato stew in late September. 😀
