Curious to hear about what folks decided to remodel when they bought their homes?
The kitchen? garden? bathrooms? curious to hear about people's journeys

I started with flooring and interior painting.
We changed the upstairs carpets to hardwood flooring and got the downstairs flooring refinished.
For interior painting, I chose Alexandria Beige: https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/hc-77/alexandria-beige as the primary color.
Dobby did both the work, of course 😀
Then we spent on organizing the home with our organizing partner the Model Home. It was a good decision.
Gardening is a continuous process. But I am learning to be more strategic about it. Want to do a greenhouse this year.
Most of our homeowners start with flooring, drywall & painting, kitchen upgrade (like, Alex), bathroom upgrades (several recent-mover Dobby homeowners are doing bathroom upgrades now).

My kitchen was the first space we remodeled within a few months of moving in. Now that we have been here a couple of years, we are redoing our bathroom and laundry room next!
I think there are some spaces when you buy the home that you know you want to change ASAP. But after you have spent some time living in your house, I think you have a better understanding of what needs to be rethought. A great example: our huge, deep jacuzzi bath with a rain shower. Looks beautiful…but I‘m tired of having to “climb” into the shower every day!
